Beginning September 1, 2009, Spruce Hollow is proud to display the Peaceful Collection of local artist, Raphael Wettenstein. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, the below limited edition signed prints are being offered for display and sale, either as a collection or individually.

About the Artist

Raphael Wettenstein is Israeli born, and a Graduate of the Israeli Academy of Arts. In 1965 he came to the US  to widen his artistic horizons. The next 30 years offered him ecclectic opportunities to express his creative talents as an illustrator, art director, film producer, and an audio-visual educator / producer,  Recently, Raphael and his life partner, Eva, have retired and moved from New York City to the Catskills. Being inspired by the surrounding beauty of the Catskill  Mountains he has returned to his love of painting.  Additional inspiration was motivated by the 40th  anniversary of the Woodstock event which took place near by in Bethel Woods, as well as the 200th anniversary celebration of Sullivan County. The results are a series of pastel paintings in which the peace symbol is integrated in the scenery and life style of the  Catskill Mountains . Museum quality reproductions on canvas  are available in a collector’s limited signed edition.
